Your Healing Story

“The wish for healing has always been half of health.” ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca

For every disease there is a path to healing.

I call this path your healing story. It can begin many ways. Frustration, pain, and overwhelm often start the story. As it goes on, it can become one of courage and determination. Sometimes it is a story of redemption and reformation. It is always a story of transformation. Ultimately, you get the healing results you are looking for.

The story always begins from where you are right now. It’s the perfect place to start. Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You know something isn’t right but your doctor tells you “Nothing’s wrong.”
  • You have chronic pain, but medications just mask the symptoms.
  • You are feeling overwhelmed by your health issues.
  • Your stress levels are chronically high.
  • You aren’t as mentally focused, physically strong or emotionally resilient as you once were.

Many of my patients have sought relief from their regular doctor without success. The medications they’re given have bad side effects. Or their doctor tells them it’s in their head. I find that insulting to the patient who knows something isn’t right.

I’ve also heard stories of doctors accusing patients of being difficult if they don’t get better. Really? When did doctors loose empathy?

In addition to starting from where you are now, there is also an end point to your story. That’s the healthy state you want to achieve. Here’s an insider tip: medications are unlikely to get you there.

But what will get you there? That’s the healing story.

There are many, many paths to healing. But no matter what path you are drawn to, it will be a process. You didn’t get to the state of health you are in now overnight. You can’t expect it to turn around in a day. But it might turn around faster than you imagine.

Your healing story will have a long-term outcome. But there will also be steps along the way. The story will have twists and turns, like any good story will. But if you are working with a caring and competent doctor, you will work through these.

I am currently taking new patients. If you would like to discuss how you can find your unique healing path, please feel free to contact me. You can reach me by clicking here.

All the best to you for your health and happiness,

Dr. Bruce Eichelberger
