In the last post, I ended by mentioning that there was an exercise that cleared the fear out of my energy field. It worked really well. It took several months of regular practice to achieve this.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that the fear was also stored deep in my body. I think it would be accurate to call this more physical level, “cell memory.”
I stopped doing the exercise daily when I felt fear leave my field. It is probable that over time, doing the exercise regularly would have also cleared cell memory.
This is so because energy moves matter. But reaching this level would have taken more time than I gave it. And at the time, my understanding of the process was not well developed. As a result some fear remained. But it remained hidden to me.
To understand the implications of this, it’s helpful to touch on quantum physics. Don’t worry, there’s no need for equations or complicated explanations.
Quantum physics tells us that the material world is mostly energy. The atom, which makes up all physical matter including our bodies, is 99.99999% energy and 0.00001% matter. But the material aspect of things is what most people focus on. This has several consequences:
- We identify with our body more than our energy or spirit.
- We immerse ourselves in the phenomenal world.
- The phenomenal world is filled with drama, including life and death.
- As a result, the tendency is for us to frequently be in survival mode.
- Over time, this becomes our primary way of experiencing life.
- Survival mode reinforces the focus on ourselves and our body.
- The cycle continues…
To use another Einstein quote, “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”
Going Beyond the Illusion
The practices of qigong, neigong and meditation bring someone into harmony with their energy. In other words they become more identified with the non-matter than matter. In addition, these practices give a kind of control of this energy that is not commonly seen.
This means these techniques are practical ways for bypassing identification with the material world. And when this happens, it becomes possible to tap into another realm of experience. The implications of this are huge. And they require someone adjust how they experience their life and the world.
One practical implication of these types of inner work is that it allows someone to clear the emotional charges from past memory. At this point, after 45 years of practice, I have a very clear idea of how to do this in the least amount of time. At some point in this series I will share with you how I was able to clear cell memory. I’ll also share the surprising outcome from doing that.
But there are other practical aspects of this shift towards identifying more with energy than matter. My studies with Sifu Lew showed me many examples of this. And my practice of these exercises offered numerous examples of this shift in daily life. Some of them were, in fact, life-saving. But this never happened from being focused primarily on survival.
