My Favorite Quote About GMO Foods

GMO (Genetically Modified) foods are everywhere.

This trend is particularly strong in the United States and is growing every year. The main company driving this is the agricultural giant Monsanto.

There is abundant evidence suggesting these foods, also called “Franken-foods,” are not only un-natural, but unhealthy in the extreme. And even though there haven’t been tests run to determine the long-term affect of humans eating them, they’ve been unleashed on the population anyway. It’s like we’re all guinea pigs in a mass social experiment. To see more on this subject, click here to search the site for articles about GMO foods.

But even people working at Monsanto know that people are against these foods. They constantly use their legal muscle to block laws requiring manufacturers to label GMO ingredients in food.

Proof of Monsanto’s awareness about this issue comes from this quote:

“If you put a label on genetically engineered food you might as well put a skull and crossbones on it.”

– Norman Braksick, president of Asgrow Seed Co., a subsidiary of Monsanto, quoted in the Kansas City Star, March 7, 1994

I couldn’t agree more.
