Crucial Mineral Deficiency in Blood Sugar Issues

Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in your body.

If you don’t have enough, your body cannot function at its best. Low cellular magnesium sets the stage for deterioration of proper metabolic function. This, in turn often turns into more significant health problems.

How important is it? So far 3,751 different sites have been identified for magnesium in the body. For example, magnesium helps your body regulate blood sugar.

The problem is that most modern foods are low in this mineral. By some estimates there is now only 10% of the magnesium in foods than there was 100 years ago. Depleted soils is to blame.

This article gives you background and details about this important mineral. And it includes a chart with the various types you can buy as supplements. It’s worth a look.

Raw vs. Cooked Food – Which is Healthier?

In health circles you will sometimes find heated debate about the value of raw foods.

But what is the real deal? You can cite research on both sides of the argument. And as it turns out, both sides have merit.

Raw foods have more enzymes. Cooking often destroys these. And some nutrients are also lost when heated.

At the same time, cooking foods can help release nutrients otherwise hard to get to. it also can support ease of digestion.

The thing I like most about this article is the section at the end. It has the subhead, “Summary.” There are 4 bullet points that give you sensible advice for dealing with this issue.

Check out what they are here.

Your Medical Detective
A Possible Cause for Autism

More cases of autism are being diagnosed than ever before. But why?

Scientists have found no definite cause for the problem. It remains a mystery. But 1 in 88 children suffer from it in one form or another. And boys are 5 times more likely to have it than girls.

Now a new study shows that toxins in the environment may play a significant role in the disease. And this was not lightweight study. It looked at medical records from more than 100 million people in the U.S.

A mother’s exposure to environmental toxins when pregnant was associated with an increase in malformed children. The research also found a very high correlation between malformation and autism.

The news here is that the cause of autism disorders may not be genetic. It may be caused by plasticizers, drugs and pesticides. Research is ongoing.

Aspartame Kills Brain Cells

Aspartame (NutraSweet®) is dangerous to your brain.

A new study confirms this. Researchers found it can program your brain cells to kill themselves. And this can happen at levels deemed “safe” by the FDA.

In other words, it just isn’t good for you.

Further proof of aspartame problems is that it accounts for over 75 percent of adverse food reactions reported to the FDA. These include:

“Headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, irritability, tachycardia, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss, and joint pain.”

That’s quite a list.

This is yet another example of your health not being protected by the FDA. You can learn more by clicking here.

Monsanto Aliens

You know about Monsanto from its promotion of GMO foods.

This article by Jon Rappoport compares the company with aliens from another galaxy. My favorite part of the article is the quotes at the beginning. They are from various representatives of biotech firms.

“People will have Roundup Ready soya whether they like it or not” – Ann Foster, spokesperson for Monsanto in Britain

Yeah, I was not comforted either.

The article is amusing and a bit frightening. It’s is worth the read. You will find it here…
