It’s not easy to do. That’s because companies don’t have to shoe them on ingredient lists. As a result, they remain hidden. This is especially true in packaged and processed foods.
That means if you want to avoid them, you will have a hard time of it. Even foods labeled “natural” can still have GMOs.
So until labeling becomes law, you can only do your best to dodge this food-borne bullet.
Waking Times has a list of companies that almost certainly use GMO food in their products. They base this on how much they or their parent company spent to defeat GMO legislation.
What I like about this list is that it also includes the brands each company sells. Some of these subsidiary brands are, in fact, organic. That means they don’t have GMOs.
However when a company spends a huge amount on keeping us from knowing what we are eating, I prefer not to support them financially. That means avoiding even their organic brands.
