Statin Drugs Can’t Improve On The Benefits Of Fish Oil

Want better heart health? Who doesn’t?

A recent study showed fish oil greatly improved the effects of statins. So far, so good.

The quirk in the study was that they checked the effects of the statins alone and the fish oil with stains.

Do you see what’s missing? That’s right. They didn’t check the effects of fish oil alone. That’s a major omission.

It’s especially bad considering the volume of studies that have shown how effective fish oil is at protecting from heart disease. In fact, there are at least 4 major benefits they provide for heart health.

5 Unhealthy Foods Engineered To Be Addictive

You are being manipulated.

Who is doing this? The food engineers making processed foods.

But how do they accomplish this feat? They have spent millions of dollars finding just the right combination of factors to make you eat more and more. They blend textures, smells, sugar, salt and fat into irresistible combinations.

This article gives more details. It also lists the five most common “foods” that affect you this way. It’s a good list. You can see it here.

Painless Calorie Restriction

An excellent way to improve your health is through restricting calories. It is a virtual “fountain of youth” for your body.

But almost nobody likes the idea. Extended fasting doesn’t sound like fun to most people. Nor does eating like a bird.

Fortunately, there is a way to get the benefits without the pain. The secret? Intermittent fasting. That means eating in a more narrow window of time. For example, if you skip breakfast and don’t eat after dinner the night before, you have about 16 hours without eating. It’s not that hard to do.

And there is some evidence that this approach is even more effective than longer fasts. I’ve experimented with this and found it very effective.

Cardio Kills

For decades you’ve heard that cardio is healthy. But it may not be.

The standard recommendation is 30 minutes of moderate intensity cardio daily. Running, stair climbing, rope skipping are all examples.

And it’s true that some cardio is good. But long periods of extended cardio actually damages your health. It is especially hard on your heart. Ironic, isn’t it?

This is a great article with lots of research to back it up. The bottom line is that endurance athletes have many more heart problems that normal.

I really encourage you to look at this article. You will be amazed at the sheer number of problems found in endurance runners.

Extreme Levels of Roundup Detected in Food

Roundup is everywhere.

Part of the reason is GMO foods. Many of them are made to resist Roundup. That lets farmers use higher amounts in the field. And some of these higher amounts get into your food.

A Norwegian study found twice the amount of Roundup in food as that labeled “extreme” by Monsanto. Scary stuff.

And since it is toxic to humans, this is also bad news. Cancer, birth defects and infertility are just some of the problems.

The best defense is to eat organic foods. At least you want to avoid conventional soy and corn. Over 80% of these are GMO.
