Sunlight Stops Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer rates are on the rise. That’s the bad news.
The good news is that there is a connection between sun exposure and lower incidence of prostate cancer. So much for the idea sunshine is bad for you.
Dr. Al Sears gives you the details. One study he quotes found that men with the highest sun exposure reduced their risk by 66 percent. Those who got the least sun had the highest risk.
In another study, as little as 20 minutes a day of exposure reduced risk of prostate and 15 other kinds of cancer.
Why is this the case? It’s simple. Sun exposure triggers your body to make vitamin D. And if you have enough vitamin D, your chances of dying from prostate cancer go down 700%.

Is Monsanto’s Roundup Ready GMO Soy Making You Sick?
This is a nice article about the problems with soy.
First, it isn’t just the fact that most non-organic soy is GMO. There are other reasons soy is a problem.
For example, it has a substance that causes blood to clot. It also inhibits digestion.
But when you add the higher pesticide residue and the uncertainties of GMO foods, soy really isn’t an attractive option. And since it hides in many processed foods, you need to look carefully at ingredients.
If you must eat soy, make sure it is organic and fermented. The forms of fermented soy are soy sauce, tempeh and miso.
There are many reasons to avoid soy in general. Learn more about them here.
Gratitude is an Antidepressant
What makes people happy? Being grateful for the good things that you have in your life.
Sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it?
But this isn’t just some pop psychology platitude. The American Psychological Association supports the idea. In a study presented at their recent conference, people who were grateful for their life were less depressed than those who weren’t. This was especially true for people who were self-critical.
